The formula of XeraCalm A.D Lipid-Replenishing Balm was created using a minimum of ingredients:
- The I-Modulia complex, result of 12 years of scientific development, reduces itching sensations caused by skin dryness and soothes redness and irritation caused by the skin's hyper-reactivity.
- Cer-Omega, lipids which resemble those found in the skin, helps to repair, nourish and strengthen the protective film, giving the skin better resistance against external aggressions.
- Avène Thermal Spring Water, with soothing properties, reduces sensations of discomfort and softens the skin.
This formula benefits from the unique ‘Sterile Cosmetics’ process that eliminates the need for preservatives (including hidden preservatives like alcohol). The formula is protected against bacterial contamination thanks to the patented D.E.F.I packaging.

Apply the balm in the palm of your hand and then spread it all over your body.
For gentle application, first spread the balm in your hands and then spread it over the entire body using the whole surface of your hands in wide strokes. Avoid rubbing the skin so as not to irritate it.

One year agoI have dry, sensitive and eczema prone skin. I started using the balm during an eczema breakout around my eye (after nothing, not even prescribed creams, helped) and have never looked back. When my skin is tracking well, I switch to one of Avène's light weight moisturisers but always come back to the Xeracalm at even a hint of an eczema flare up. Gentle enough for adults and children, I can't recommend this product enough.
