Apply to the face, eyes and lips with a cotton pad or directly with your fingertips. No-rinse.
For gentle cleansing: Apply with your fingertips, massaging gently. Remove gently and without rubbing, using a tissue or damp cotton wool. Finish with a spray of Avène Thermal Spring Water. Gently dry.

One year agoThis is an excellent cleanser to sooth irritated, allergy prone, hyper sensitive or imbalanced skin. It works to cool and calm the skin. It’s best used on clean skin- so preferable after your first cleanse if you wear makeup/spf etc. I massage in, and rinse of with water. It leaves a thin film on the skin, creating a breathable barrier to lock moisture in. Finish with avene thermal spring water and moisturiser of choice

This is a leave-on lotion, so we recommend not rinsing it off with tap water, as this can often be too harsh on intolerant skin. If you do want to rinse it off, make sure you simply finish off with a generous spray of Avène Thermal Spring Water to remove the limescale and chlorine found in tap water.
Yes, Tolérance Extremely Gentle Cleanser has the advantage of containing very little oil to suit combination skin and having a gel-like texture to be comfortable for dry skin.
With intolerant or hypersensitive skin, it’s best to be generous in order to gently cleanse and remove make-up from the face. A hazelnut-sized amount is recommended for the face.
