One year agoI had a thyroidectomy a year ago (today!!). For scar healing I used this gel and massaged as per the instructions and I'm happy to report it really made a difference. When I went travelling for 6 weeks I forgot to bring this along and the appearance of the scar became a little more red and noticeable than usual, so i can definitely say it works. We recommend that you use Cicalfate+ Restorative Protective Cream as soon as the stitches are removed to repair the skin. Once the scar is re-epidermised, massage it with Cicalfate+ Scar Gel for up to 6 months.
Yes, it is very important to protect scars from the sun to prevent them from darkening and/or thickening. You can apply a sunscreen directly on top of Cicalfate+ Scar Gel. Remember to apply a sufficient amount and to reapply every 2 hours at the most during prolonged exposure.

I have used this on my post acne/pimple scars and it is amazing! The scars/marks have visibly reduced and my skin looks the best it has in about 10 years! Amazing! I wasn’t able to find much on whether that’s what the product is for, but I gave it a try and love it!
