Skin sensitivity is characterised by recurring unpleasant sensations like tingling, tightness or burning. Some people even say they have “skin pain”. Although invisible to the naked eye, these sensations can be tricky to manage.
If your skin becomes uncomfortable without knowing why, if it stays hot when you get out of the shower, or feels tight with a change in temperature, then you probably have sensitive skin.
It is important to look after skin with the right products. Go for dermatologically tested gentle products, with a minimum number of ingredients and without potentially irritating or allergenic additives like fragrance or preservatives.
For cleansing and make-up removal, a rinse-free formula will help avoid the drying effect of tap water. Go for light gel textures that can be applied with the fingertips to avoid friction from a facecloth or makeup pad.
